Player Registration: Before You Register for Rosemount Hockey
Please follow the steps below before starting your player’s registration.
Step 1: Confirm You’re Registering for the Correct Hockey Association
- Rosemount Hockey follows the District 196 school feeder system: The player’s parent must live at an address assigned to an elementary or middle school that feeds into Rosemount High School.
- Use the District 196 Address Look-Up Tool (enter only your house number and city for best results).
- Understand the School Attendance Waiver Policy: As of January 2024, waivers can only be granted:
- After a player finishes Mite/8U level and before September 1 of the same year, or
- If the player is at the Jr. Gold level.

Step 2: Prepare a Birth Certificate (First-Year Skaters Only)
- First-time skaters in Minnesota organized hockey must upload a PDF or JPG of their birth certificate.
- Have the file ready before starting registration.
- This document will be deleted once it’s approved by District 8.
Step 3: Get a USA Hockey Number
- You must register with USA Hockey and have a current USA Hockey number before registering with RAHA.
- Visit USA Hockey Registration to get your number.
Step 4: Review RAHA Fees and Volunteer Requirements

Step 5: First Year Girls and FIrst Year BOYS only
- If you have a first time skater (female at any level, male at IP levels only), and you have not already done so, please visit the First Year Free page here and complete the appropriate request form.
