District 8 League Game Change Requests
A situation may come up during the season where your team or the opposing team may need to change a district game date. Below is the process to follow if a game change is required by your team or your opposing team.
Home Game Rescheduling
- If a RCC or IGH game needs to be rescheduled by your team or if an opposing team contacts you to request a game change, you will need contact the ice scheduler to request a new date. You will need to review both team calendars and find a few weekend dates with your opponents manager that would work for the reschedule and send the dates along with the request to the ice scheduler. If the ice scheduler cannot find a time slot on those weekend days, we will then start to look at weeknight options.
- Once the the new date, time and rink has been agreed upon, confirm back with the RAHA Ice Scheduler on the agreed upon date. The team manager who initiated the game change will need to go to the the D8 website and fill out the game change form (See link below).
- After submitting the game change and filling out the form, a game change # will populate along with a link for payment and you will need to fill out the secondary form to submit your game change payment with your credit card. GAME RESCHEDULES WILL NOT BE APPROVED AND FINAL UNTIL PAYMENT IS MADE.
- Your Game Change will populate on the Open Game Change Report after you submit (See link below) where you can check on progress to make sure everyone responsible for Approving have Approved the change.
- When final approval has been made, you will receive a confirmation email from Avario and your Ice Scheduler and your team page game schedule will be updated. (REFEREE’S WILL BE RESCHEDULED BY D8)
- Make sure you monitor the D8 master schedule and your opponents calendar to make sure the new game details are eventually updated.
- Make sure to write yourself a check back out of your team account for reimbursement and ADD THE EXPENSE INTO YOUR BUDGET SHEET (Coordinate with our Accountant If Needed for Help on This)
