Executive Committee

This committee is composed of the four officers (President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer, and Operations) and is accountable for the full board prioritizing issues for discussion. Committee will meet to work expeditiously when necessary in times of time sensitive matters or crisis that affect RAHA substantially when convening the entire board is not feasible. The committee will work on important and critical topics prior to bringing to entire board for approval.

This committee is composed of Secretary/Treasurer, President, Gambling Manager and Accountant. Purpose of the committee is to have oversight over all RAHA financial activities. These activities include budgeting, 990 preparation, loan applications and other legally binding financial documentation as they arise.

This committee is responsible for the design and implementation of RAHA's tryouts for the travel level players. The committee begins meetings in April to review the previous season's tryouts and begin the process of the next season's tryouts. The committee is responsible for all aspects of the tryout process.

The Hockey Development Committee (HDC) will oversee all hockey specific topics relating to player and coach development. HDC will meet to discuss, monitor and recommend best practices for ensuring proper player/coach development in accordance with USA/MN Hockey and District 8 standards when applicable. HDC will work collectively with the Tryout Committee to develop the RAHA try-out process and all that encompasses.

This committee is responsible for the structure and operation of the IP level for RAHA. The IP levels consist of Termites through Mites and 8U. The committee works closely with our HDC to provide development and structure to the IP level. In addition, the committee provides training opportunities including, but not limited to, skating skills provided by in-house and hired training personnel.

This committee works to support and grow the goalie participation throughout RAHA. The committee orders and supplies all IP teams with goalie equipment for each season. Another aspect of the committee is to review and implement training for goalies in both travel and IP. This training can consist of, but not limited to both in-house and hired training personnel.

This committee's purpose is recruiting and retaining both paid and volunteer coaches at all levels of RAHA. The committee also works collectively with the HDC for coach development and the Tryout committee for coach team placements.

This committee's purpose is to support the managers in both the Travel and IP levels. The committee's support consists of team financials, team scheduling and team communications. For tournaments, this committee works diligently to schedule all travel level tournaments, both local and out of town. The committee also works closely with the IP committee in support of scheduling Jamborees.

The fundraising committee will be responsible for the planning, implementation and execution of all RAHA fundraising activities. These activities include but not limited to, Gerten's fall fundraiser, RaiseRight App, and other items as outlined by Executive Director or board of directors. The committee also works to support the players from Termites to Junior Gold as well as help out in the community when possible. This is accomplished through various events and projects organized throughout the year. The committee is always looking for new ideas to both support and give back.

The Grievance/Discipline Committee (GDC) oversees and implements any requirements as directed by USA/MN Hockey District 8 and the US Center for Safe Sport. These include but are not limited to locker room policies, cell phone policies, locker room monitors etc. The GDC will also establish grievance and discipline policies for board approval and implementation. Committee will handle all grievance procedures and discipline issues outside of normal playing rules.

This committee consists of the Gambling Manager, President and 2 at large board members. The committee's focus is on proper operation of the charitable gambling of RAHA. Charitable gambling serves RAHA in the manner of assisting in offsetting the costs of hockey and thus the committee works continuously to expand and grow charitable gambling.

This committee works collectively with the Ice Scheduler to oversee the purchases and sales of all ice and dryland for RAHA from IP through Junior Gold. The committee priority is to work to reduce costs where applicable and find ways of better implementation of scheduling ice and dryland.
